Meet the Team
Tony Coleman – Managing Director
With the business since 1982, Tony is our visionary and pioneer, with over thirty years of precious metals experience. He has been responsible for introducing much of the cutting-edge technology employed by the company, keeping New Zealand Gold Merchants at the forefront of the precious metals market in New Zealand.
Richard Coleman – Technical Manager
Although he has been involved with the business from a very young age, Richard officially started in 1991. This family orientated man is responsible for the smooth running of both our production team and equipment, along with managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure and website.
John Hunter – Business Relationship Manager
With an extensive background in sales and marketing, John joined us in 2007. His key responsibility is to give our customers an easy understanding of the importance of gold and silver as a component in their overall wealth protection/investment portfolio.
Yvonne Brown – Administration Manager
Yvonne’s role includes managing our debtors and creditors along with our storage accounts. Her sense of humour and genuine care for customers lights up the office.
Paul Dowman – Head Gold Refiner
Paul started with NZ Gold Merchants nearly a decade ago. He was 19, fresh out of school and having begun a law degree, then switching to psychology he made his way into the family business initially dealing with the raw material in the silver refinery.
