John’s key responsibility is to give our customers an easy understanding of the importance of gold and silver as a component in their overall wealth protection/investment portfolio.

His job is not to sell you anything but to lead you through the purchasing process, giving you enough information to make an informed decision that’s right for you.

John has an extensive sales and marketing background. For twenty-five years he enjoyed a successful career in the hair-care industry – working in management roles for large international companies. He also spent six years managing jewellery stores where his focus was on people management and ensuring his team provided exceptional customer experiences. This time was also instrumental in developing his knowledge and appreciation of the value of precious metals, diamonds and precious gemstones.

John has been associated with NZGM for the past twenty-five years through close, long-time friend Tony, who convinced him to join the NZGM family in 2007. It was a complete sea-change but a pivotal point in John’s career and a decision he in incredibly grateful for.

John will be the first to tell you he has an amazing family and as Dad to six kids, he will talk to you about all of them with great pride. He’s also a keen tramper and in 2018 completed the solo pilgrimage through the Larapinta Trail – a 230 km journey from Alice Springs through the McDonald Ranges – camping out under the stars in Australia’s spectacular Northern Territory.
